Electrical Engineer
Reports to: Engineering Manager

General Description
The purpose of this job is qualifying customer requests in order to provide solutions with existing, configurable, or new designs to meet the customer expectations. Furthermore, drafting technical manuals to support the release of new and existing products Prepare and review the appropriate documentation for these projects, and new products, i.e. submittal drawings, work instructions, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Answer inquires relating to technical issues with both products currently in use by customers as well as servicing needs for prospective customers on these same products. Participating with the product development team to bring new solutions to market and improve existing products. Ensuring agency compliance Furthermore, supporting Engineering’s On-Time metrics for Quotes, submittals drawings, Inoperative Products and Production drawings

• Quotes- Achieve +90% On-time in 1 day (24 hours), and Project quotes and submittals, On-time will be established between the assigned engineer and the sales person of record.
• Submittal Drawings- +90% On-time in 3 days for racks and connector strips, all other. Submittal requests are made/and agreed to with sales through a VP of Sales.
• Production Drawings (sales Orders)- +90% On-time in 3 days.
• Inoperative Product Review- +90% On-time in 3 days.
• Background in mixed signal design and analysis
• Ability to practice safe testing procedure
Requirements
• One to three years of previous experience. Candidate must have experience and/or education  in the power field

HR Assistant
Stamford, CT

Lex Products is looking for a Human Resources Assistant for three days a week .The other two days will be used to help in either the purchasing or accounting departments.

General Description
This individual will assist the HR Manager in maintaining a fully-staffed and positive work environment. Responsibilities will include: Assisting in bi-monthly ADP payroll and coordinating benefits for hourly employees. Conducting the recruiting and interviewing process and completing exit interviews. Maintain and report on employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, turnover, etc.

• Process employment applications and assist in other employment activities
• Update employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses
• Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized persons
• Schedule interviews and provide benefits overviews to applicants
• Compile and maintain records for use in employee benefit administration
• Assist in preparing and filing reports of accidents and injuries at establishment
• Help with new hire orientation
• Prepare  miscellaneous reports
• Assists in managing employee functions (outings, parties, etc.)
• Perform other tasks as needed to support the human resources and payroll department priorities

Supply Chain Manager
Reports to: V.P. of Operations

General Description:
The Purpose of this job is to Manage the warehousing, logistics, procurement, and planning activities to support the organizations delivery and costing goals in a make-to-order environment. Define the best practices for all materials management, warehouse, and logistics activities in order to manage the operation using the lowest possible costs, while maintaining vendor in bound deliveries at (+98%) on-time rate. Establishing and managing to Operational KPIs such as shipment on-time fill rate, inventory turns, material receipts from vendors, RTVs, returns from customers, and volume of materials movement, tied to maintaining and improving productivity. In order to manage the Supply chain requirements for sourcing and supplying materials include establishing metrics such as purchase price variance, vendor performance, inventory turns, inventory carrying costs, and actual procurement vs. plan. Furthermore, reviewing and managing to the department(s) purchasing and warehouse budget plan with regard to salaries, wages, and equipment maintenance as well as the budgeted annual “cost of goods” spend

Metrics/Accountability
• On-Time-Fill-Rate +92.5% monthly for all Lex Products orders shipping from the East, KMP, MPS, and Electrol facilities.
• +92% Inventory accuracy based on absolute variance

Marketing Assistant
Stamford, CT

Lex is seeking a full time Marketing Assistant. This candidate will provide support to the marketing team, including:

  • Assisting departmental staff with day to day tasks
  • Updating contact info in our CRM system
  • Mailing product literature
  • Adding product information to our website
  • Assisting with the preparation of graphics, including PowerPoint presentations and InDesign documents
  • Assisting in trade show preparation
  • Keeping track of website metrics 
     

There is potential for a good deal of professional development in this role; the qualified candidate will be willing to take on added responsibility as the position evolves. The qualified candidate should possess a background knowledge of the electrical industry or techincal aptitude.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in the entertainment technology or electric industry or BA in Marketing or related field

Production Group Leader
Stamford, CT

Reports to: Production Manager

The purpose of this job is to ensure that production deadlines are met within the department under charge in order to support company wide On-Time-Fill-rate for customer orders to reach goal of +92.5%.  This job is responsible for scheduling and completing production orders utilizing production work centers (teams), while continuously improving production processes, eliminate waste, and identifying bottlenecks that impact daily production, outgoing shipments, and all other activities that occur on a daily basis within operations of the production center.  Furthermore, ensuring production goals are met efficiently utilizing available resources and promptly communicating activities that affect production to managers, peers, and subordinates on a daily basis. 
Metrics
• On Time Fill Rate (OTFR): Ensuring production deadlines are met for departments under charge in order to support company goal of +92.5% delivery of customer and build to stock orders.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Direct responsibility for team leaders, and, employees under charge, approximately 50 employees
• Associates Degree or an equivalent work experience
• Two to four years of supervisory experience in a production or warehousing environment
• Ability to work in metric and English units of measure

Responsibilities:
 • Utilizing Lean Principles, realizing the elimination of waste throughout the supply chain. KanBan and supermarket experience strongly desired.
• Establishing, maintaining, and reporting on all warehouse and supply chain KPIs (Key performance indicators) on a weekly basis.
• Lead cost requirements/reduction initiatives in both the supply chain and warehouse departments.
• Establish MRP/supply chain schedules achieving cost effective materials movement in order to maximize asset turnover and increase inventory turns.
• Maintain availability of materials within the supply chain in order to support sales plan at minimal accepted levels.
• Establishing Transportation agreements with carriers in order to receive the lowest possible costs. Managing both inbound and outbound costs.
 • Establishing supplier agreements in order to set and minimize total cost to the firm. This may include contracts consistent with quality, delivery, rounding, freight, substitutions, consignment, economic clauses, and terms.
• Develop supplier guidelines, and procedures for vendor selection and evaluation through the use of vendor scorecards
• Manage all expenses related to warehousing and procurement to ensure department budget is on or below plan target(s).
• Audit inventory levels, reporting and using this information for sales review and procurement plan.
• Manage physical inventory and cycle count programs to ensure inventory accuracy
• Develop and manage cost reduction programs utilizing make and hold strategies, negotiations

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Management, Logistics, or related field. MBA is preferred
• 5-10 years of Supply Chain, Purchasing, Planning, and/or inventory control.
• ERP/MRP experience (i.e. Made2Manage, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle).
• Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification from a recognized association (proven track record of implementation
• Must demonstrate initiative; be able to work independently, Possess excellent analytical and communication skills.
• MS Suite: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Responsible for all hiring, training, discipline, and termination of all supply chain and warehouse  employees with respect to Company HR policy

Customer Service Representative
Stamford, CT
 
The purpose of this position is to provide an exceptional level of service and support  for every customer via the phone and email. A CSR is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service and support for External and Internal Customers. CSR’s are part of the entire order process from managing customers’ expectations, entering orders, to ensuring proper delivery. Customer Service Representatives work with other functional groups to ensure customer orders are entered accurately and shipped on-time.
 
Responsibilities
• Customer Service and Support: Providing friendly service and enthusiastic guidance to Customer inquires via phone and email
• Sales order Entry: Accurate and timely sales order entry (accuracy of +99.5%, and volume of +500 line items entered per month)
• Return Materials Authorization: Enter, send, and follow up on RMAs issued to Customers (approximately 30 issued per month).
• Answering incoming phone calls and emails promptly
• Provide tracking information of shipped orders to customers when requested.
• Backup to reception on phones as needed.
• Participate in weekly sales RAP meeting, daily situational and monthly one on one with manager RAP
• Answering a high volume of in-bound calls and email inquiries daily
• Researching orders and accurately updating information in an ERP (computer) system
• Troubleshooting problem orders, shipping issues and delivery problems
• Supporting customers in navigating the website
• Triaging time-sensitive customer requests efficiently and effectively
• Performing all required customer follow-up in a timely manner each day

Qualifications
• 2-5 years experience in a customer service position
• Experience working for a company selling design-to-order electrical products is preferred
• Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) ex. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft NAV, Made2Manage
• BS/BA preferred.
